The LPD component was updated to support IPv6 for MultiNet 5.2.

We have since done some work on LPD to support IPv6, but have not
shipped this code.
Please contact your support channel and open an support request and we
will investigate the possibility of getting updated component for you to
test.

Hi,

unable to create print queue in IPV6-Networked Unix(lpd)

I wanted to print from client IPV6 Address to a IPV6 server, for that
I am using linux fedora core 4 as a client.while doing "ifconfig" I am
getting inet6 address that address format is same as the address that
I got from server.

Inorder to do print a job I need to create a print queue.

So I had created a print queue in linux by print configuration
tool(main menu->setting->printing)
new queue->queue name->queue type(Neworked Unix (LPD) with IPV6
ADDRESS) then select raw print queue->apply

after that it is giving error message that "unable to locate printer
at '6666' unresolver error(error 0)"

while created a print queue, wheather the print queue that i have
created wrongly or not any thing missed out.

The ultimate purpose is test LPD with lprm command.

I'm still not clear which system is running MultiNet.

Does the MultiNet system have the printer physically attached to it or is
the printer physically attached to the Linux system?
