NFSclient remote file creation problem

We are mounting an nfs file system from a Solaris 10 box. I can see all
the dirs/files, I can delete dirs/files, but I can't create a file. If I give
myself (non-SYSTEM username) SYSPRV, then the file create works. The file is
created with the UID/GID mapped VMS username SYSTEM, rather than my mapped
username.

Any ideas?

Then it sounds like all the files will apear to belong to SYSTEM,
rather than to you.

Try directory/security one of the files in question, and on one of
the directories.
