Discussion:
Lost SSH entry in MultiNet:Services.Master_Server
(too old to reply)

Hello:

We had a problem with the system disk that corrupted the
MultiNet:Services.Master_Server file and had to restore
it from a very OLD backup tape. Somehow, we lost entries
for services such as SSH, SCP, SFTP etc in this file and
cannot start/enable any of these!

How does one add these?

Thank you for any help.

How old, i.e., what version of MultiNet is the file from? I'd have to
guess that it's from before ssh was a part of MultiNet. Here are the SSH
lines from my 5.1 version of this file, but I'm thinking you'd be much
better off to get a copy from the distribution media for your current
version of MultiNet and start from that.

Hello Ken:

Thank you for sending me the SSH entries. I have added them to
MultiNet:Services.Master_Server file and restarted SSH
successfully.

Glad to be on this mailing list.

Cheers,
